The Swamp was a studio built up over recent years as a home-base for album projects for myself and a group of like minded engineers and producers. It's specification far outshone it's low price, and it's rather basic rustic ambience - based as it was in stables, overlooking apple and plum orchards behind an old 17th century former public house - generated a relaxing and creative atmosphere.
Unfortunately we had to dismantle the Swamp in '98, as my partner in the project, John Wallis (who owned the building) headed off to Spain to 'retire' (out with those carpet slippers and good luck John!). Things are always changing though, so who knows whats on the horizon! JW has his setup in Espana. The old 'Raven' desk and 2" have found their way over to France to live with Michel & PJ from Sherwood - Bon Chance! htxxx
